These woodcuts attempt to pay respect to the loss of innocent human lives lost, through a depiction of this vulnerable yet resilient flower. This Iris is of symbolic significance, considered by many to be the national flower of Palestine.
These recent works attempt to give belief that some sort of life can grow out of the devastation and tyranny of war.
